David Chancey is a follower of Jesus, a husband, dad, grandfather, son, pastor, writer, runner, Braves fan, Georgia Bulldog fan, cancer survivor and an aspiring author. He has served as pastor of McDonough Road Baptist Church in Fayetteville, Georgia, for nearly 20 years. This is his third pastorate in 34 years of fulltime pastoral ministry. Prior to the pastorate, David worked in denominational communications and campus ministry.

David Chancey writes a regular newspaper column for The Citizen, the local newspaper distributed in Fayetteville/Peachtree City, Georgia, with a weekly distribution of 25,000.

His columns are also featured in The Christian Index , Reach Out Columbia, and nationally in One Christian Voice.  He is working on submissions to other periodicals and online papers.

He currently has out his first book, The Day I Nearly Met Dolly: Tales of Faith, Family and a Few Home Runs, available on Amazon.com, and is working on and two additional book projects, including; Marvelous Faith: Pursuing the Faith that Makes Jesus Marvel.
